1st ECCOMAS Artificial Intelligence and Computational Methods in Applied Science (AICOMAS 2025)

Our members Rubén Muñoz Sierra and Jacobo Ayensa Jiménez participated in the Congress organized by the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM) & the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS), which held in Paris from February 17th to February 21th. They presented their work  “On the combination of physically-guided neural networks with internal variables and differential operators for the discovery of nonlinear, anisotropic and heterogeneous features in material sciences” and “Knowledge distillation from unstructured data using reliability aware physically-guided neural networks” respectively. In their talks, they exposed the latest contributions of TME Lab in the area of Scientific Machine Learning, related to material behaviour discovery, knowledge distillation, computation acceleration and uncertainty incorporation.

They had the opportunity to enjoy an important scientific event (the first specifically dedicated to the hybridization of computational mechanics and artificial intelligence methodologies), to reconnect with friends and colleagues, as well as to enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Paris, la Ville lumière.
