The IIS Aragón has hand over the corresponding prize for the fifth edition of the Intramural Call for Research Promotion IIS Aragón 2019, which aims to support researchers and research groups of this institute that stand out for their scientific or innovative production. Endowed with a total of 220,000 euros, it comprises several categories, whose aid will go to resident researchers, better research groups, innovation projects and the hiring of medical staff to boost their research activity.
Dr. Ignacio Ochoa received the Innovation Prize of the IIS Aragon to keep on fighting againt glioblastoma with his project, ‘Detection in glioblastomas of new biomarkers of progression of resistance to chemotherapy in in vitro biometric models’, aims to detect the markers of evolution of the resistance of the cells of these brain tumors to define better and more personalized treatment schemes.
