Ignacio Ochoa and Hector Castro Abril participated in the NATUGEL 2024 – Natural Hydrogels for Applications in Tissue Engineering International Workshop
Our postdoc Hector Castro Abril together with PI Ignacio Ochoa Garrido have been in Hannover taking part in the NATUGEL 2024 – Natural Hydrogels for Applications in Tissue Engineering International Workshop, organized by the Institut Für Mehrphasenprozesse of Leibniz Universität Hannover held from September 3rd to 5th 2024.
Prof. Ignacio Ochoa gave a fantastic presentation entitled “Evaluating gelatin-based hydrogels for colon and pancreas studies using 3D in vitro cell culture” where he explained how metacrylated gelatin-based hydrogels can alter cell behavior, with applications to colon and pancreatic cells.
On the other hand, Hector presented his work entitled “The Role of Mechanical Properties and Structure of Type I Collagen Hydrogels on Colorectal Cancer Cell Migration” in which, by using pure type I collagen hydrogels, CRC spheroid cell migration was evaluated under different mechanical environments and experimental conditions. This amazing work can be found in https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/mabi.202300108
It was a great opportunity to participate in such an amazing event in the nice city of Hannover! Looking forward to the next one!
