On October 6th, Jacobo Ayensa Jiménez participated at the ipIBA seminar series with a talk entitled “Unravelling cell metabolic behaviour using Physically-Guided neural Networks: Towards personalized medicine in the fight against Glioblastoma”, organized by Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Aragón – IIS Aragón.
He explained our progresses in combining Artificial Intelligence methods and cell dynamics mathematical models for understading some key cell metabolic processes in tumour progression.
In silico trials are the perfect complement of in vitro and in vivo experiments for accelerating design of new therapies and drugs. The rise of microfluidic technologies opens the door to the use of data intensive methods such as machine learning tools that, combined with appropriate mathematical models, are taking the first steps towards personalized medicine.
