María Villota Miranda received her M.Sc in Data Science and Machine Learning at the University of La Rioja. She began her research career in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of La Rioja working on the HOLMS national project, whose main objective was to use advanced image analysis techniques for document categorisation and information extraction. Currently, M. Villota is working in the TME Lab research group of the Aragon Health Research Institute (IISA) on Artificial Intelligence for early diagnosis and treatment of diseases with high prevalence in ageing (AI4HealthyAging) project.
