IN VITRO MODELS
The cells of our body relate to each other cooperatively to generate more complex structures called tissues or organs. These interactions also require adequate microenvironments for cells, tissues, and organs to perform their physiological functions. Conversely, diseases cause changes in the microenvironment and vice versa.
The main objective of this line of research is to understand better how changes in the microenvironment affect cellular behavior during the disease progression and to simulate these environments in vitro by using new microfluidic and computer simulation technologies
