

Short Biography
Rut López is a PhD student of the TMElab group at university of Zaragoza, as part of the Porcisost project to assist in the development of a swine intestinal model on microfluidic devices.
She received a Biology Degree from the University of Alicante in 2019. While she was studying, she did an internship in the microbiology department at the university hospital (Alicante) where she discovered her vocation and decided to do her final project in larval therapy. Afterwards she did a master’s degree in biotechnology and bioengineering (Elche, Alicante) where she had the opportunity to learn different molecular techniques and specialize in cell culture, testing different bioactive compounds to reduce metabolic stress associated with diabetes through her thesis.
In the future, she looks forward to do her best and learn as much as she can from this exciting project.
